Amadi oha "The God Of Thunder"
BY PETE J. AMADI LT. COL.
Do you ever wonder why natural disasters such as hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, and other violent acts persist in the Western world? Amadi Oha knows why! According to Amadi Oha, the African God of Thunder, these calamities on the West are retribution for the wrong-doings cast on Africa during the slave trade. And the gods are still angry. Through African folktales and mythology, and the magic of dreams, Amadi Oha! The God of Thunder explores a time that devastated the people of Africa. A work of fiction based on African realities, the book shows readers how the past still haunts the present, from generation to generation, and how the desecration on African land must be cleansed and the gods appeased to avoid further devastation.
Born into poverty in the Igbo region of Nigeria, Pete Jakemond Amadi searched for more opportunities, traveling throughout West Africa and Europe before moving to the United States. There, he graduated from university and joined the US Marine Corps, proudly serving in various locations across three continents, including Haiti, Iraq, Liberia, New Delhi and South Sudan.
While serving in Haiti, Lt. Col. Amadi experienced the devastating 7.0 earthquake that struck the country, killing thousands of people and destroying the United Nations Mission in Haiti. He organized and mobilized the first rescue team and communications efforts, saving lives and informing the media.
Lt. Col. Amadi is currently in Juba, South Sudan, assigned to the Ceasefire Transitional Security Arrangement Monitoring Verification Mechanism as Deputy Sector Coordinator, responsible for monitoring compliance to peace agreement by the warring parties.
He is also the author of Conflicted Destiny: Chronicle of a Natural Born Warrior.
